Lindsay Clancy trial reaches breaking point over hold-out juror as defense lawyer declares: ‘I kicked the s*** out of their case’ – Live updates

Tensions have reached a boiling point in Lindsay Clancy’s murder trial as it was revealed that a single juror has delayed the Massachusetts mom’s verdict delivery.
Yesterday in court, a note from the jury foreperson was handed to Judge William Sullivan that stated one of the 12 jurors is not following the law as it pertains to reasonable doubt. The jury, who is made up of nine women and three men, have been deliberating for 36 hours.
After the judge gave a renewed instruction for the group to continue weighing up evidence with a focus on reasonable doubt, Clancy’s defense lawyer Kevin Reddington demanded that the juror be dismissed.
Outside of court, Reddington told reporters that he wouldn’t want a mistrial should the jury come back hung. ‘Why would I want a mistrial? I kicked the s*** out of their case,’ he declared.
Clancy is on trial for murdering her three children Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, eight months, at her Duxbury, Massachusetts, home in January 2023.
The former labor and delivery nurse has pleaded not guilty in her case citing postpartum psychosis, and if found not criminally responsible for the three murder charges, she will be sent to a state mental health facility.
Prosecutors acknowledged that Clancy was mentally ill, but maintain that she knew what she was doing at the time of the killings.
