A UFC newcomer was left completely unrecognizable after suffering a gruesome beatdown during her promotional debut at UFC Paris on Saturday afternoon.
Argentinian flyweight Sofia Montenegro stepped into the Octagon for the first time to kick off the preliminary card, facing off against French star Delphine Benouaich.
What began as a showcase moment for both debuting fighters quickly turned into an absolute bloodbath in front of the raucous crowd at the Accor Arena.
Benouaich took control of the contest on the mat, slicing Montenegro open and unleashing a relentless barrage of ground-and-pound strikes from top position.
With blood pooling across the canvas and coating both fighters, Benouaich locked in a vicious choke to render Montenegro unconscious and force the referee to step in.
Shocking images from the aftermath showed Montenegro lying on the canvas as medical officials rushed to her aid. Her face was completely covered in blood.

The images quickly went viral on social media as fans were left horrified by the damage Montenegro had suffered in just two rounds on her debut.
The dominant victory earned the hometown favorite Benouaich an emphatic debut win, leaving Montenegro with a nightmarish first outing inside the Octagon.
Montenegro, 27, arrived in the UFC after earning a contract despite dropping a narrow split decision in a bloody brawl against Jeisla Chaves on Dana White’s Contender Series in late 2025, which impressed UFC brass enough to sign both fighters.
Benouaich, meanwhile, improved her professional record to 8-2 following an impressive run as a semifinalist on Season 34 of The Ultimate Fighter.
The violent strawweight scrap served as the curtain-raiser for a stacked afternoon of fights in the French capital, headlined by a high-stakes lightweight showdown between veteran fan favorite Dan Hooker and French sensation Salahdine Parnasse.
