Four people found shot dead inside North Carolina home
Four people were found shot dead inside a North Carolina home on Thursday after police received a 911 call.
Police rushed to provide life-saving aid to those inside the single-family home in Gastonia, near Charlotte, on Thursday morning.
Little is known about what caused the shooting.
‘Gaston County Police detectives are actively investigating the incident,’ the department said in a statement.
‘Residents are asked to avoid the area while investigators continue processing the scene.’
Police were sent to the home after receiving a 911 call, investigators said, according to The Charlotte Observer.
The caller reported a shooting near Forbes Road. When police arrived, four people were found dead.
A neighbor told WSOC-TV that five or six shots were fired.

A woman showed up looking for her coworker, who lived in the house, saying she failed to show up for work
A woman showed up on the property, claiming to be friends with a woman who lived in the house.
She told WSOC-TV that the woman failed to show up to work today.
‘I started to worry because she never doesn’t show up,’ she told the outlet.
It is unclear who the killer is and if they are dead.
Special agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives are assisting the investigation, the agency said.
Gastonia is located 22 miles outside of Charlotte. It is home to 72,000 people.
