NFL is forced to issue groveling apology as app breaks and fans are unable to watch action less than 20 minutes into RedZone

NFL fans were left unable to watch the action just minutes into the new season on Sunday, after the league’s ‘NFL+’ app went down.

Football fans pay $14.99 a month – or $99.99 for the full season – for the package, which is supposed to allow you to watch NFL RedZone live on Sunday afternoons.

By 1:19pm on Week 1, though, complaints were pouring in to the league with hundreds complaining that they could not access the live feed of the action.

In a post on X, the league wrote: ‘We are aware of the issues affecting the NFL+ experience and are working to fix them. We apologize for the inconvenience. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please submit a ticket to our customer support team.’

One fan wrote: ‘Fix your stupid app. We can’t watch red zone,’ while another added: ‘The @NFL app not working for Week 1 and Red Zone is the most NFL thing ever. Refund? Lol’
