Fox Sports sideline reporter sparks health fears with her appearance in Week 1 of the NFL season
Fans are expressing concern over the appearance of a veteran Fox Sports sideline reporter – leading many to wonder if she is okay health-wise.
Pam Oliver, the most tenured sideline reporter in the business, is in Pennsylvania for Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Atlanta Falcons.
But when Oliver was shown on the screen for her first camera hit, fans were concerned to see her hairline receded and noted that she seemed thinner than in previous seasons.
Other fans noted that Oliver had slurred speech as she spoke on the broadcast, leading to posts on social media asking if she is doing okay.
‘What’s wrong with Pam Oliver? She looks rough and was hardcore slurring her words,’ wrote one user on X.
Another user said: ‘Omg someone please help Pam Oliver.’

Other comments were not so kind: ‘What happened to Pam Oliver hairline,’ wrote one user.
Another read, ‘Can someone please tell Pam Oliver she make too much money to have her head looking like this all the time.’
‘I feel like every time I see Pam Oliver, I am worried about her health I actually like her, so it’s always worrisome seeing her on TV. She just always looks medically unwell,’ one fan added.
While it’s unclear if Oliver’s appearance is directly related to a health issue, she previously revealed that she deals with migraines frequently throughout an NFL season.
‘Well, I’ve had several [migraines] over the course of the football season,’ Oliver told The Athletic in 2021.
‘For example, I’ve gone from averaging 5-6 a month down to averaging 3 a month. I consider that being lucky.
‘They’re very debilitating for me. They’ve been a problem for a very, very long time. It’s caused me to miss a few games over the span of my career because I just couldn’t take the noise and the light and the sickness that comes with that. The nausea and the vomiting.
‘There was one game, about three-four years ago. I live in Atlanta. I was minutes from Mercedes-Benz [Stadium]. My driver, I said, you gotta pull over.

‘We were less than five minutes from the stadium. I’m hurling. My head is pounding. And I made the decision right then and there, I’m no good to anyone.
‘There’s no way that I felt like I was gonna get through that game, be productive, help the crew, contribute in any way. So, turned around and I went home. I felt so guilty about that for the longest time, but they really do knock me out of action.
‘I feel like they’ve gotten better, just from the standpoint of having fewer. But they definitely are real. And they continue to plague me. And not to have people feel sorry for me, but that’s just the way it is. That’s just part of my health issue.’
