Undefeated high school football coach arrested after shocking secret cell phone discovery in locker room

A high school football coach in California has reportedly been arrested after allegedly recording students while they changed in the boys’ locker room.

Jeffrey Pribble, who works as a teacher and varsity football coach at Tracy High School, was arrested on campus near San Francisco on Friday afternoon.

Per KCRA3, the Tracy Police Department claim students found a phone filming them while they were changing in the locker room. They then stopped the recording, deleted the footage and handed the phone to staff. It was later found to belong to Pribble.

The high school coach is said to be facing a misdemeanor charge related to using a concealed camera to secretly record someone – who is fully or partially undressed – in a private space where they could reasonably expect privacy. 

According to KCRA3, Pribble was arrested and issued a citation before being released. But he is on leave from the school district, with ‘Johnnie Oh’ listed as interim head coach of the Bulldogs, who are 3-0 for the season.

In a statement, the Tracy Unified School District said it is ‘deeply concerned about the allegations and remain focused on protecting the safety of our students.’ Pribble has been head coach of the Bulldogs since 2021.

Pribble is not the first high school football coach to land himself in hot water in recent months. 

Travis Turner has been missing for almost a year after he fled his home in Big Stone Gap, Virginia, days before it emerged police wanted him for 10 alleged child sex offenses.

The married father-of-three had led Union High School in Virginia’s Wise County to an undefeated season before going missing.

He was last seen heading into the Appalachian woods, carrying a firearm, on November 20, 2025. And, months later, there have been no sightings of him.

Turner is still wanted for five counts of possession of child pornography and five counts of using a computer to solicit a minor.
