Bombshell second recording emerges in Sydney Swans sexual assault investigation – as details about strippers’ lawsuits are revealed

A 20-minute secret recording regarding what happened inside a hotel room where strippers claimed they were sexually assaulted during post-match celebrations with Sydney Swans players has been given to police.

The recording details one of the adult entertainer’s allegations about what unfolded in the room at the Pullman East hotel in Melbourne on August 17.

She and two other strippers, who have not been publicly identified, claimed they were sexually assaulted, with Swan players understood to have strongly denied the claims.

The latest recording, taken two weeks after the alleged assault, is the second detectives investigating the allegations have received, the Herald Sun reported.

The first was secretly taken by a man associated with the same woman featured in the second recording.

It was taken in the hours after the alleged assault – which inside sources privy to the women’s civil case have now alleged left the women traumatised – and was seized by police in early September.

The AFL’s integrity unit, run by former police officer Tony Keane, had shared details of the recording’s existence with police after being told of it by Swans officials.

It’s understood the Swans and AFL were unaware of the second recording.

The five players tied to the incident – Isaac Heeney, Chad Warner, Nick Blakey, James Jordon and Riley Bice – all deny any wrongdoing.

Sexual Crimes Squad investigators are treating Bice as a witness.

No charges have been laid and Daily Mail does not suggest any wrongdoing on the part of the four other players.

Details shared with The Age by an anonymous source close to the women on Thursday suggested they may seek compensation for mental distress.

The source said two of the women underwent psychological assessments and were found to be suffering from severe trauma-related disorders.

‘They have been pushed over the edge by the incident and its aftermath,’ they said.

‘These women are suffering severe stress and trauma. They are not in good shape.’

The source claimed the women’s health were documented in several medical reports, including that was more than 40 pages long.

The Pullman Five, as they have become known, were suspended from the Swans for breaching rules around drinking and partying.

Their suspension is separate to the alleged sexual assault investigation.

The full extent of the allegations has not been publicly confirmed, though one allegation reported is that a player slapped one of the strippers on the bottom more times than she had agreed to.

Victoria Police are compiling a brief of evidence to present to Victoria’s Director of Public Prosecutions. It will then be decided if any charges will be laid.

That decision is expected to be shared with the players either later this month or in early November.
