The Brisbane Lions will be wearing black armbands today, and Lions media explained why:

Brisbane Lions players and staff will tonight wear black armbands in memory of former Fitzroy player, Ian Miller, who sadly passed away on Monday evening, aged 76.

Affectionately known as “Serge”, Miller was recruited to Fitzroy in 1974 as a star 24-year-old from Perth, having already been part of a WAFL premiership (1968), earned All-Australian selection (1972) and won a Sandover Medal (1972).

Miller, a versatile half-forward and occasional rover, played 80 games and kicked 33 for Fitzroy between 1974 and 1977.
