Alix Earle Says She’s Not A Trump Girlie, But The Internet Remembers That Flag

Forever party girl and content creator mogul, Alix Earle has finally cleared up the rumours of whether or not she is a supporter of Donald Trump.

In her recent Time cover story, she talks about how over it she is with the constant questions about whether she backs Trump. She says she’s already addressed it and “just doesn’t think anyone listens”, and recalls that by her senior year of college she was telling people, “I am not a Trump supporter. I don’t personally support him”.

“I get a lot of questions about that online still. I just tend to not address it every single time because then I feel like I am creating a massive storm,” she said.

Of course, the internet has receipts.

The Trump rumours really took off after people resurfaced that 2019 boat photo with a Trump flag, which slotted neatly into the “Alix is secretly MAGA” narrative.

She later gave more context on TikTok Live, saying she grew up in a very Republican environment and she basically mirrored what everyone around her believed.

“My family is Republican — my whole town, everyone, is Republican — my whole high school,” she explained at the time, per The Mirror.

She described herself back then as “yeah, go Trump”, then undercut it by admitting she didn’t actually know much about politics at the time and now thinks Trump is “an idiot”.

So I guess her position now is that she’s not pretending the flag era didn’t happen, she’s calling it out as something she’s grown away from.

But that doesn’t mean she’s stopped being political altogether. Where it gets messier is that her more recent political moments haven’t been neutral. Her posts supporting Israel during the current war have been loud enough. Backlash ensued and didn’t just stay in the comments, she took UK brand Gymshark to court, claiming they cut a planned sponsorship deal because of her “perceived stance on the Israel‑Palestine conflict”, and later settled the case for around $1 million.

So while she’s distancing herself from Trump, she’s still very much taken a public, pro‑Israel position in the middle of a brutal war, and that’s shaped how people read her politics now.

All of that makes her “no one listens” line feel a bit less mysterious.
