Annie Knight’s father-in-law James Brayshaw jetted 18,000 km away while she married his son Henry on Gold Coast – as the X-rated star insists her job had nothing to do with his absence from wedding

Annie Knight’s father-in-law did not attend his son Henry Brayshaw’s wedding last week, holidaying instead over 18,000 km away.
The Footy Show star James Brayshaw shared photos on his Instagram page this week, indicating he is in Lisbon, Portugal, where he has been catching up with old friends.
The 59-year-old posed alongside pal Jamie Cox in the popular tourist destination, as well as documenting his travels around the picturesque city.
Accompanied on the trip by his wife of three years, Lisa, Brayshaw appeared relaxed and at ease in his cheerful social media posts.
‘First sunrise I’ve been present for in 15 years and I run into Jamie Cox, who I wouldn’t have seen in 15 years. How does that happen?!’ he wrote in his caption on Instagram.
James further explained in his hashtags that ‘Lisa had to drag me out of bed’ in order to witness the sunrise.

Annie, 29, and James’ son, Henry, 28, married on Thursday at a scenic nature retreat at The Valley Estate in the Currumbin Valley on the Gold Coast.
Speaking about Henry’s estranged father failing to attend the nuptials, Annie expressed her ‘immense sadness’ over certain family members not being present at the ceremony.
She insisted that James and Henry became estranged long before they started dating, and it had nothing to do with her adult career.
‘Henry hasn’t had a relationship with his dad for over three years, long before we were together. Their estrangement has nothing to do with me. When we started dating, he already didn’t have a relationship with his dad,’ she told the Daily Mail.
‘That is a personal family matter, it has nothing to do with me. People assume that he has decided not to be a part of Henry’s life because of me, and that is just not true!
‘So, do I wish that Henry’s dad had been there? Yeah! In another world, for Henry’s sake, absolutely. But given where Henry’s relationship is now, I think it wouldn’t have been the right time.

‘At the end of the day, Henry’s mum Sarah and his two brothers were there, and that just meant the world to us. That is all we care about, Sarah’s 12-minute speech about how much she loves Henry and me!
‘That’s all that matters to us, that they came and gave it 100 per cent and had nothing but love and support for us.’
She said she hoped that Henry and James would reconnect in the future and she would support her husband through it.
‘There is a chance for Henry and his dad to reconnect one day. But right now, Henry and I are in this phase where the people in our lives are immensely sacred to us and we would do anything for them,’ she said.
‘You don’t know what the future holds, but of course we are both hoping they reconnect and I can have a relationship with James as well.’
Annie became engaged in March 2025 when Henry got down on one knee during a holiday in Los Angeles.
