Back To The Future star Lea Thompson exudes glamour during rare red carpet with nepo daughter… see her now at 65

Back To The Future icon Lea Thompson made a rare red carpet appearance with daughter Zoey Deutch in LA this week.

The 80s movie star, now 65, looked effortlessly glamorous in a chic dress as she posed with Deutch, 31, at the Gail Daughtry and The Celebrity Sex Pass premiere.

Thompson was seen proudly embracing her youngest daughter as the pair joined her fiance Jimmy Tatro on the red carpet.

Also in attendance was Thompson’s husband, Pretty in Pink and Some Kind of Wonderful director Howard Deutch, 75. 

Thompson, renowned for her role as Lorraine Baines-McFly in the Back to the Future trilogy, has been married to Howard since 1989. 

Both Zoey and elder sister Madelyn, 35, have pursued careers in the entertainment industry, with the family collaborating on the 2017 film The Year of Spectacular Men.

This marked Thompson’s directorial debut, with Madelyn writing and starring in the film, and Zoey also featuring in a leading role.

In 2024 Thompson reunited with her Back to the Future co-star Michael J. Fox at Rhode Island Comic Con. 

Fox, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in the early 1990s, also joined co-stars Christopher Lloyd and Thomas F. Wilson.

The cast had a Q & A at the Comic Con about the beloved film – released in 1985 – and the two blockbuster sequels released in 1989 and 1990.

Fox starred as teenager Marty McFly in the science fiction movie.

During the Comic Con, Fox looked back on the project – almost four decades after its release. 

‘I didn’t know what the hell I was getting into,’ adding that it was ‘one of the few perfect films.’

Thompson said when she first got the script, she thought it was ‘amazing.’

‘When I read the script, I was blown away. So from that moment, I thought there was something special,’ she added.

Thompson said she feels ‘lucky’ that she was part of the project.

The message in the movie that small actions do end up causing changes is ‘one of the reasons I think the movie does resonate deeply with people,’ Thompson said. 

In 2023, Fox revealed he and Lloyd became close only after working on the Back to the Future sequel in 1990.

He told Variety: ‘I came to see how much he loved acting. I never got that before,’ adding that he thinks he is ‘very enigmatic.’

The stars have previously reunited for the film, much to the delight of fans. 

Fox was diagnosed in 1991 at age 29 with Parkinson’s Disease; he went public with it in 1998.
