If there’s one thing I’ve learned from Copenhagen Fashion Week, it’s that the street style is often just as influential as what’s happening on the runway. And while last week’s shows were technically all about Spring/Summer 2027, the fashion crowd arriving at shows was already giving us plenty of inspiration for what we’ll actually want to wear come autumn.

The jackets, in particular, caught my eye. From bold cobalt blue to buttery suede, practical utility styles and the barn jacket, there was a clear focus on outerwear that feels both directional and genuinely wearable. Even better? These aren’t just street-style unicorns – I’ve found seven high-street styles that you can shop right now.

1. Nobody’s Child Cobalt Blue Funnel Neck Jacket 

Cobalt blue was impossible to miss around Copenhagen, and Nobody’s Child’s funnel-neck jacket was one of the most convincing ways I saw the colour worn. Laura Maree, Bebette Van Luijk and Amy Nathalie were all spotted wearing the striking style, proving that a bright jacket can be surprisingly easy to incorporate into an everyday wardrobe.

I’m particularly tempted by the funnel-neck silhouette, which has been building momentum for several seasons now. It’s one of those shapes that instantly makes jeans and a T-shirt look more considered, while the vivid blue gives a simple autumn outfit a much-needed hit of colour. Funnel-neck jackets have already been a major street-style favourite, with versions appearing in everything from technical fabrics to suede and leather.

2. Nobody’s Child Navy Tie Trench Jacket 

Sonja Leigh was spotted in another Nobody’s Child favourite: the Navy Tie Trench Jacket. While the classic trench will never really disappear, this cropped, tied version feels much more in line with the current mood for playing with proportions.

Navy is also proving itself as a strong alternative to black for autumn, while the waist-defining tie gives the traditionally roomy trench a more feminine shape. It’s the sort of jacket I can imagine wearing with everything from wide-leg trousers to a slip skirt and boots.

3. Ghospell Hala Faux Leather Jacket

Charlotte Leaman wore Ghospell’s Hala Faux Leather Jacket in – you guessed it – cobalt blue. There’s something particularly good about a leather-look jacket in a colour other than black, and this one feels like an easy way to tap into two of AW26’s biggest directions at once: bold colour and statement leather.

Leather jackets are already emerging as one of Copenhagen’s key street-style stories, with minimalist, single-breasted versions particularly noticeable among the fashion crowd. At £95, this is also one of the easiest ways to try the trend without making a major investment.

4. Fuchsia Shaw The Bluebell Arden Coat 

Francesca Saffari wore Fuchsia Shaw’s Arden Coat in the Bluebell colourway to the Stine Goya SS27 show, and I can absolutely see why. It has that distinctly Copenhagen combination of practicality and polish: lightweight, oversized and designed for layering, but with a high funnel neck and oversized patch pockets that give it plenty of personality.

The coat is made from a shower-proof cotton-nylon blend, making it particularly useful for that unpredictable British autumn weather. And while the Copenhagen crowd wore it in August, I think the pale blue shade will work just as well with autumnal denim and chocolate-brown accessories.

5. Hush Elara Funnel Neck Utility Jacket

Hush brought its new edit to Copenhagen Fashion Week with fashion broadcaster and content creator Polly Newman, who wore the Elara Funnel Neck Utility Jacket for the celebrations at Restaurant Esmée.

The stone colour makes this one particularly versatile, but it’s the utility detailing and funnel neckline that make it feel current. Functional outerwear is firmly back on the fashion agenda, and I love the idea of wearing this with tailored trousers rather than treating it purely as a casual jacket.

6. Hush Nerina Leopard Collar Barn Jacket

Polly also wore Hush’s Nerina Barn Jacket, this time in khaki green with a leopard-print collar. If you buy one jacket for autumn, I’d seriously consider making it a barn jacket. The practical, slightly oversized silhouette has become one of the season’s key outerwear trends, and the leopard collar gives this version a more fashion-forward finish.

It’s a clever way to nod to animal print without committing to a full leopard coat – and the khaki base makes it surprisingly easy to style.

7. Massimo Dutti Flowing Suede Leather Jacket

Finally, German influencer Louisa Theresa Grass was spotted in Massimo Dutti’s Flowing Suede Leather Jacket, and this might just be my favourite of the seven. Suede has been building steadily as a major outerwear story, with fashion editors already flagging soft suede and funnel-neck styles as key transitional buys.

The relaxed shape makes it feel less polished than a traditional leather jacket, while the suede finish gives even a simple jeans-and-knitwear outfit that expensive-looking finish we’re all after. At £300, it’s the investment option of the edit – but if Copenhagen is anything to go by, it’s one you’ll be wearing for seasons to come.
