Bears swoop for Titans star Jeffery Simmons in blockbuster trade as Super Bowl hopefuls make huge statement

The Chicago Bears have made a huge statement by trading for Tennessee Titans star Jeffery Simmons.
Ben Johnson’s Bears have been in the market for a marquee defensive acquisition as they chase a spot in the Super Bowl and pushed hard to land DeForest Buckner before he was traded by Indianapolis to San Francisco.
Instead, they have now paid a huge price to land Simmons. Chicago is sending Tennessee two first-round NFL Draft picks, one in 2027 and one in 2028, as well as a fourth-round pick in 2027.
The Bears are getting a 2028 fifth-round pick in return, as well as Simmons.
The All-Pro star only signed a three-year, $105.8 million contract extension with the Titans before the season. At the time it made him the the highest-paid defensive tackle in NFL history.
