The European Union hosts the first edition of the Gulf and European Young Diplomats Programme
Brussels, May 9 / WAM / The European Union is hosting the first edition of the “Young Leaders in Regional Diplomacy” program between the European Union and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries during the period from May 12 to 17.
The program brings together 14 young diplomats from the Gulf Cooperation Council to learn about the principles and performance of the European Union and its diplomatic service.
Within the framework of the programme, young diplomats from the GCC countries will meet with senior EU officials, representatives of prominent European think tanks, and diplomatic missions of the GCC countries to the European Union, and will meet with young European diplomats at the European Diplomatic Academy, at the College of Europe in ” Bruges,” they also participate in cultural and social activities.
This programme, coordinated by the Office of the European Union Special Representative for the Gulf Region, Luigi Di Maio, is implemented with support from the European Commission’s Foreign Policy Instruments Service.
