Dak Prescott in angry clash with Dallas Cowboys stadium worker after ’embarrassing’ loss to Tampa Bay

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott was involved in a heated clash with a stadium worker who heckled him after the team’s loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Cowboys handed the Bucs their first win of the season on Thursday night as they fell to a shock 24-16 defeat at their own AT&T Stadium.

But as Prescott was making his way back to the locker room at the end of the game, a Cowboys stadium employee could be heard taunting the quarterback.

Prescott was walking a few steps behind head coach Brian Schottenheimer when somebody could be heard shouting ’embarrassing’ in their direction.

Prescott looked over in disgust before saying to a Cowboys staffer: ‘Tough guy. Get his a** out of here.’

According to Pro Football Talk, the worker was a driver hired by a third-party contractor.

Speaking about the incident later on, Prescott said: ‘When he said it I just happened to look at him, and at that point he looked away, didn’t look, and when I turned my head back, he said something else.

‘So that’s the part that, just as a man or a person, feel free to speak your mind. Just speak it. Don’t coward away from the reaction that you’re going to get. If you’re saying it’s embarrassing, say it’s embarrassing. If you’re saying it to me, say it to me. Don’t go back on it.

‘That’s all it was. I hate that it’s even being talked about, to be honest with you.’

Tensions were high in the stadium as the Cowboys slipped to 2-3 with billionaire owner and general manager Jerry Jones seen slamming his hands on the table in front of him after Prescott threw a game-sealing interception.

To make things worse for the Cowboys, the Bucs came into the game without starting quarterback Baker Mayfield and relying on the talents of rookie Jalon Daniels out of Kansas.

Miraculously, the Bucs defense was able to stymie the Cowboys offense and forced three turnovers en route to a 24-16 win.

The victory was sealed on Dallas’ final drive when Prescott threw a perfect pass that bounced off the hands of tight end Jake Ferguson and straight into the air before falling into the arms of a Tampa Bay player.

Enraged, Jones was seen slamming his hands on the table in front of him after the game was effectively ended. With the result solidified, Prime Video cameras then caught Jones exiting the building before the clock had officially hit zeroes.

When Jones was later seen walking past the media, he did so without addressing anyone as he scratched his brow before entering the locker room.

Jones later told reporters he was ‘extraordinarily disappointed’ before adding: ‘We really do need to get it done… it was a tough loss for us.’

Thursday was a frustrating evening where nothing seemed to go right for the Cowboys’ offense – despite Prescott completing 24 passes for 316 yards and a touchdown.

Top target CeeDee Lamb was effectively isolated while he and Ferguson dropped three attempts apiece.

Prescott’s second pick of the night mirrored his first interception that bounced off the hands of KaVontae Turpin and into the air three times before being caught by Tampa Bay.

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay’s Bucky Irving ran for 165 yards and a touchdown as Daniels completed 19 passes for 189 yards and a score.

With the loss, the Cowboys now fall to 2-3 on the season having just won a single game at home in three contests.
