Donald Trump ‘set for surprise trip to New York to watch Yankees on September 11 anniversary’

Donald Trump is reportedly planning a trip to New York on September 11 to watch the Yankees take on the Detroit Tigers.
Sources revealed that Trump will first attend a memorial event at the Pentagon in northern Virginia to mark the anniversary of the 2001 terror attacks, according to the New York Post.
Vice President JD Vance will represent the administration at the annual Ground Zero ceremony in Lower Manhattan.
But Trump, 79, is expected to travel to The Bronx later in the day to catch the 7:05 p.m. game at Yankee Stadium to watch them take on the Tigers.
While the plans are still tentative, insiders warned that Trump’s schedule could change last-minute.
If he does follow through with the trip, however, it will be another high-profile sporting event for the president, who has become notorious for popping up at major events.

During his presidency, Trump made history by becoming the first sitting president to attend the Super Bowl.
He was also a surprise guest at the Daytona 500, taking a lap around the iconic track in his armored limousine, ‘The Beast.’
In addition to those, Trump has been spotted at UFC fights, LIV Golf tournaments, and NCAA wrestling championships.
He’s also made plans to host the UFC at the White House to mark the nation’s 250th anniversary in 2026.
Trump’s appearance in New York would come just a year after he attended the Ground Zero ceremony last September as he marked the anniversary of 9/11 attacks.
The White House has not commented on the trip as of yet, but should Trump decide to go ahead with the visit, it will only add to his reputation as a regular fixture at top-tier sporting events.
