‘Drops of God’ Sets Season 2 Release Date, Drops New First Look Image

Apple TV+ has unveiled a first look image at Season 2 of the French-Japanese drama “Drops of God,” starring Fleur Geffrier and Tomohisa Yamashita.

The second season will consist of eight episodes and is set to premiere on Jan. 26, 2026, with the first episode followed by weekly releases until March 11, 2026. 

Adapted from the Japanese manga series of the same name, the drama takes place in the world of gastronomy and fine wines. The second season follows Camille and Issei on a mission to uncover a mystery about the world’s greatest wine. 

The official show description states, “What begins as a pursuit of legacy, becomes a search for truth that spans continents and centuries, unearthing forgotten histories, hidden rivalries and secrets buried for generations. As the search pushes them to the edges of the world and to the darkest corners of themselves, Camille and Issei must decide how much they are willing to sacrifice. The answer could shatter their bond as siblings… or destroy them both. “

From Legendary Entertainment, “Drops of God” is produced by Les Productions Dynamic in association with 22H22 and Adline Entertainment. The series is produced by Klaus Zimmermann, directed by Oded Ruskin, and created by Quoc Dang Tran.

Prime Video has ordered “Killing Grounds: The Gilgo Beach Murders,” a new docuseries about the Gilgo Beach serial killer. The series will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.

The synopsis reads “From 1996 to 2011, Gilgo Beach, New York, became the haunting site where 11 bodies were discovered, their deaths shrouded in mystery with no suspects identified. This chilling series unravels one of the most notorious unsolved crimes of our era, now taking a turn as a major suspect heads to trial. With unprecedented access, the inside story delves into the depths of this horrific case, exploring the mind of an individual capable of the unthinkable, while unveiling the systemic failures that allowed him to slip through the cracks.”

Brian Volk-Weiss, Cisco Henson, Matt Ochacher, and Phil Donlon will executive produce the series for Nacelle Company. “Killing Grounds: The Gilgo Beach Murders” is executive produced by Emma Cooper under her Empress Films banner, who will direct. Eben Davidson also serves as an executive producer for Empress Films.

Netflix has debuted the trailer and new images for its new drama series, “Death by Lightning,” premiering on Nov. 6.  

“Death by Lightning” will consist of four episodes, bringing to life “the epic and stranger-than-fiction true story of James Garfield, reluctant 20th president of the United States, and his greatest admirer Charles Guiteau — the man who would come to kill him,” according to the logline.

The limited series stars Shea Whigham (Roscoe Conkling), Michael Shannon (President James Garfield), Matthew Macfadyen (Charles Guiteau), Nick Offerman (Chester Arthur), Bradley Whitford (James Blaine), and Betty Gilpin (Crete Garfield).

They are joined by guest stars Alistair Petrie (John Sherman), Archie Fisher (Joe Brown), Barry Shabaka Henley (Senator Blanche Bruce), Ben Miles (George Scoville), Kyle Soller (Robert Todd Lincoln), Laura Marcus (Mollie Garfield), Paula Malcomson (Franny Scoville), Shaun Parkes (Dr. Charles Purvis), Tuppence Middleton (Kate Chase Sprague), Vondie Curtis Hall (Frederick Douglass), Željko Ivanek (Dr. Doctor Bliss).

Mike Makowsky is the creator, writer and executive producer.  David Benioff, D.B. Weiss and Bernie Caulfield join Makowsky as executive producers alongside Matt Ross, who also serves as the director of the series.

Paramount+ has released the official trailer and a first look for Season 4 of “Mayor of Kingstown,” premiering on Sunday, Oct. 26.

According to the synopsis, the fourth season will center on “Mike’s control over Kingstown being threatened as new players compete to fill the power vacuum left in the Russians’ wake, compelling him to confront the resulting gang war and stop them from swallowing the town. Meanwhile, with those he loves in more danger than ever before, Mike must contend with a headstrong new Warden to protect his own while grappling with demons from his past.”

The series stars Jeremy Renner, Edie Falco, Lennie James, Laura Benanti,  Hugh Dillon, Taylor Handley,  Tobi Bamtefa, Derek Webster, Hamish Allan- Headley and Nishi Munshi.

“Mayor of Kingstown” is executive produced by Taylor Sheridan, Hugh Dillon, Jeremy Renner, Antoine Fuqua, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Dave Erickson, Christoph Schrewe, Wendy Riss, Evan Perazzo and Keith Cox. Erickson also serves as showrunner for the series.

Netflix has unveiled the official trailer and first look images for Season 2 of its satirical comedy series “The Vince Staples Show.”

Premiering on Nov. 6, the second season will center on Vince Staples navigating the aftermath of a tragic death. From the mind of the rapper, Season 2 follows Staples as “he embarks on a wild journey in search of inner peace. However, his path is littered with reminders of his haunted past,” per the logline.

The rapper stars as himself in the six episode series and acts alongside recurring guest stars Vanessa Bell Calloway and Naté Jones. They are joined by newly announced guest star Zack Fox. “The Vince Staples Show” is created by Staples, Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams.

Staples also executive produces alongside  Kenya Barris, Corey Smyth, William Stefan Smith, Andrea Sperling and Leonard Chang.

In The Black Network has acquired a slate of Latinx content, spearheaded by the head of their Latino division, Liana Mendoza.

The goal of the acquisition reflects the network’s mission to respond to the growing demand for content that resonates with underrepresented communities.
