Fery v Cobolli LIVE: Wimbledon 2026 latest scores and updates as British wildcard aims for semi-finals and to continue remarkable run

Arthur Fery bids to continue his stunning breakout run as he faces ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
The 23-year-old, ranked 114th in the world, is the lowest-ranked quarter-finalist at SW19 in 14 years and the first British wildcard to reach the last eight, as well as just the sixth British man to reach that stage in the Open era.
He has achieved that milestone in remarkable fashion, winning two match tiebreaks and twice coming back from two sets and breaks down to complete superb comebacks and keep home hopes of an improbable fairytale alive.
Standing in his way is recent French Open runner-up Cobolli, who Fery beat – albeit when the Italian was physically hampered – at the Australian Open in January.
Elsewhere in the quarter-finals, former Wimbledon runner-up Jasmine Paolini plays Roland-Garros semi-finalist Marta Kostyuk, with Taylor Fritz resuming his rivalry with Alexander Zverev later on.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic bids to recover from winning the longest ever Wimbledon quarter-final against third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime, after five hours and 15 minutes, ahead of his semi-final clash with Jannik Sinner on Friday.

What happened on day nine?
In case you missed yesterday’s drama…
Naomi Osaka had looked a title contender but her run came to a frustrating end as she ran into an inspired Karolina Muchova, who is through to the Wimbledon semi-finals for the first time.
Coco Gauff saw off Jessica Pegula, the highest seed remaining, in an all-American clash that wasn’t quite as high-quality, but saw the two-time grand slam champion once again find a way to win in her fourth three-setter in a row – and make her debut in the last four.
Alexander Zverev won his match against Jiri Lehecka, which had been suspended due to bad light from the night before; the Czech fought back to force a fourth set, but ultimately couldn’t extend the fight against the French Open champion, who is another into the Wimbledon semis for the first time.
But the biggest drama was reserved for late night on Centre Court, as Novak Djokovic beat third seed Felix Auger-Aliassime in an electric five-setter, winning a match tiebreak with just five minutes to spare before the Wimbledon curfew kicked in.

Can the Arthur Fery fairytale go on?
British wildcard Arthur Fery will bid to continue his fairytale run at his home grand slam as he takes on Flavio Cobolli in the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
114th-ranked Fery has broken new ground throughout this tournament and continued that streak by reaching the last eight of a grand slam for the first time.
Next up is the in-form Cobolli, who is fresh from a run to the French Open final and also reached the quarter-finals at SW19 last year, but who Fery beat in their previous meeting at the Australian Open in January, when the Italian suffered from a stomach bug.
