Fox News star Jacqui Heinrich shares emotional message to husband Brian Fitzpatrick as he loses Congress seat

Fox News White House Correspondent Jacqui Heinrich stood by her husband Brian Fitzpatrick as he lost his Congress seat to Democratic challenger Bob Harvie.

Heinrich, 37, who tied the knot with Fitzpatrick, 52, in June, took to Instagram on Wednesday to share an emotional message of support following his loss.

The TV host highlighted Fitzpatrick, who represented Bucks County, Pennsylvania, in Congress since 2016, for his ‘decade of true service,’ and praised the ‘quiet sacrifices’ he made.

‘I could not be more proud of the man you are and all you have accomplished,’ she wrote. 

‘You gave Bucks County a decade of true service and quiet sacrifice, because you care deeply about those who placed their trust in you. 

‘Your legacy is one of heart, courage and character – and nothing can take that away. Team Fitz forever. I choose you, every single time.’

The couple started dating in 2021 and had their first date at the Kennedy Center Honors. 

They announced their engagement in July 2025 after he proposed in a small town in the South of France called Valensole weeks earlier.

He told People at the time that the idea for the proposal came to him after Heinrich expressed how much she wanted to visit the South of France in an interview last year so she could ‘eat the baguettes, see the lavender fields, drink the wine and eat the butter.’ 

They woke up at 1.30am to drive more than two hours from where they were staying in Nice to Valensole before sunrise. 

Upon arriving at the lavender fields, Fitzpatrick told her he was going to take some photos of her. 

He then got down on one knee, presenting her with a ring he had gotten from a ‘long-time family jeweler in Portland, Maine.’ 

It contained ‘a brilliant-cut round diamond solitaire on a six-prong platinum setting with a yellow gold band,’ per the outlet. 

Heinrich, who joined Fox News in 2018 and co-hosts The Sunday Briefing, described Fitzpatrick as ‘the most principled, thoughtful and brilliant person I know’ to People.

‘I love his brain. I love the way he approaches problem-solving and solving complex issues,’ she said.

‘He’s strong and a man of faith, who brings me closer to God. He’s sweet and gentle and kind – all of the easy qualities in a person that just make him a joy to be around and life brighter.’

The couple wed at St Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City in June 2026, which was followed by a celebration aboard the Horizon’s Edge Yacht.

‘New York is significant to both of our lives – it was Jacqui’s first assignment as a network news reporter and Brian’s first assignment as an FBI agent,’ the couple said to People afterwards.

‘Brian’s parents are both from New York, where their own parents settled after immigrating from Ireland via Ellis Island.

‘Likewise, Jacqui’s great-grandparents immigrated to New York after arriving from Hungary. It’s a place we often spend time, and it’s conveniently equidistant between our families in Pennsylvania and New England.’ 

Heinrich wore a corseted Galia Lahav gown, which she described as ‘dramatic’ with an ‘old Hollywood feel.’

Harvie unseated Republican US Representative Fitzpatrick with the Associated Press declaring him the winner shortly after midnight on Wednesday. 

He previously worked as a special agent for the FBI and as an assistant US attorney.
