Fox slammed by NFL viewers for making infuriating broadcasting error: ‘Somebody is getting fired’

Football fans were up in arms after Fox Sports mixed up the broadcast audio of at least three NFL games during Week 2 on Sunday.

Fans tuning in for the NFC South divisional game between the Carolina Panthers and the Atlanta Falcons found that the audio coming through the television was not related to the game they were watching on their screens.

Instead, those fans realized they were hearing the audio from another Fox game between the New York Jets and the Green Bay Packers.

Meanwhile, fans tuning in to watch Jets-Packers faced a similar issue. Rather than the audio from the game they were watching, they instead were hearing the commentary from the game between the Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears. 

The Daily Mail has contacted Fox Sports for comment on this matter.

Fans took to social media with clips they recorded showing the mishaps and airing their grievances.

‘FOX really killed the vibe with that audio thing dude,’ wrote one user on X.

Another said: ‘So now Fox has the wrong game audio on for the Panthers game. We’re listening to the Jets, but watching the Falcons.’

‘alright bro FOX needs to get their s*** together with this audio,’ read a different post.

One post read: ‘Somebody at FOX is getting fired for this disastrous game audio blunder in the Jets-Packers game.’

‘A billion dollar company is getting the Packers/Jets audio mixed up with the Bears/Vikings. I have legit never seen this in my life. Fire everyone at FOX too,’ one critical user wrote.

A different user posted: ‘The Fox audio engineer better fire up that LinkedIn Monday. Twice in the past 5 minutes that the Jets game has had the Vikings and Bears audio playing for a while.’

The Panthers ended up handily beating the Falcons 34-3 while the Packers kicked a field goal to beat the Jets 20-17 in overtime.
