Green Bay Packers fans have called for head coach Matt LaFleur to be fired after they suffered an embarrassing 35-14 defeat to the Atlanta Falcons at Lambeau Field.
The Packers fell apart on Thursday Night Football and slumped to their second defeat of the season after previously losing to the Vikings in Week 1.
Despite entering the evening as heavy favorites over the Falcons, Green Bay was dominated on both sides of the line of scrimmage in their home opener.
After the game, Packers fans wasted no time in venting their frustrations on social media, calling for LaFleur to be replaced after their disappointing performance.
Taking to X, one fan wrote: ‘If the Packers are serious Matt LaFleur is fired TONIGHT.’
‘This team has thrown in the towel. LaFleur must be fired. #packers,’ another said.

Meanwhile, former NFL star Emmanuel Acho wasted no time in ripping into the embattled Green Bay coach on his YouTube show ‘Speakeasy.’
He said: ‘Matt LaFleur shouldn’t be in the hot seat, he shouldn’t have a seat! He has peaked with the Green Bay Packers.
‘What has LaFleur done in the last year-and-a-half that got you excited? We have not seen this team get better’.
Things initially started well for the hosts when they intercepted Michael Penix Jr on Atlanta’s opening drive, setting up an early touchdown for Christian Watson.
However, the wheels quickly fell off in spectacular fashion with the Falcons reeling off 27 unanswered points while Green Bay’s offense repeatedly stuttered.
The Packers’ backfield mustered a dismal 17 rushing yards all night, with Marshawn Lloyd and Kaleb Johnson completely stifled by the Falcons defense.

At the same time, Green Bay’s defense offered little resistance against Atlanta’s own backfield, who managed 244 yards on the ground at Lambeau Field.
Bijan Robinson torched the Packers for 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 29 carries, while Brian Robinson chipped in with 50 yards and a score.
The primetime meltdown drops Green Bay to 1-2 on the season and significantly raises the temperature on LaFleur’s seat.
The Packers were blown out 39-22 by the Minnesota Vikings in Week 1 and needed an overtime miracle to squeak past the New York Jets in Week 2 despite committing 14 penalties.
