Aussie mums and busy women are losing up to 22 kilos naturally without giving up chocolate and pasta – and it’s all thanks to a simple weight loss method.

If ‘I’ll start when it gets warmer’ sounds familiar, more than 100,000 Aussies who’ve transformed their bodies would argue now is the perfect time to start.

Nutrition coaching app equ has announced its eight-week winter challenge and there’s a $15,000 prize pool on offer to motivate new members to get a head start on their goals.

Kicking off on June 22, the challenge will conclude with spring a mere fortnight away – so you can walk into the new season with confidence.

equ is the app helping Aussies lose as much as 22 kilograms naturally with personalised nutrition plans.

Unlike restrictive diets that ban most people’s favourite foods like chocolate, pasta and a cheeky Friday night takeaway, equ’s flexible meal plans are tailored to each user’s individual tastes and goals.

With unlimited food swaps, members can continue to enjoy their favourite treats and eat as a family, while still achieving meaningful results.

The equ app removes the guesswork and mental load of calorie tracking, with simple, intuitive tools that help members log their meals, including a photo scanner to quickly snap and track meals.

How mum Danielle lost 22kg

Australian mum-of-two Danielle spilled her weight loss secrets after shedding 22kg and keeping it off for good – without cutting out carbs or chocolate.

She began counting her macros rather than follow strict diets or unrealistic workout plans just months after giving birth to her second child.

She credits ‘flexible dieting’ for her slimmer physique, eating 80 per cent wholefoods and 20 per cent of whatever she wants, within reason.

The young mum discovered equ, a science-backed health program offering customised weekly macro-friendly meal plans tailored to her lifestyle.

‘I began my equ journey about two-and-a-half months after giving birth to my second child, determined to make this postpartum experience more positive than my previous one,’ Danielle said.

The mum managed to lose weight without giving up her favourite food.

‘As someone who loves food, I’ve learned sustainable eating habits that have allowed me to reach my goals without feeling deprived,’ she said.

‘I’ve lost 22kg overall while still enjoying chocolate every night,’ she said.

‘My clothes fit better, and people have been commenting on my appearance.’

Unique calorie and macro targets are customised with a weekly meal plan from a nutritionist-designed menu of over 9,000 recipes.

The eight-week winter challenge includes weekly check-ins to help keep you on track, and a private community of fellow members all working toward the same goal.

The prize pool comprises three categories with a $5,000 prize each for the best transformation, totalling $15,000 – offering even more motivation to stay on track throughout the two months.

It is often said that summer bodies are built in winter. And while the challenge is designed to kickstart a new lifestyle and build momentum before the weather heats up, the app is designed to build long-term, sustainable habits.

Since launching in 2016, more than 100,000 Aussies have signed up to equ – and there have been some outstanding results.

equ offers three types of challenges, with plans costing from as little as $8.80 a week. The average cost of a standard gym membership in Australia is $60-$70 a month.

One success story is mother-of-two Danielle, who dropped 22kg while still enjoying chocolate every night.

‘I began my equ journey about two-and-a-half months after giving birth to my second child, determined to make this postpartum experience more positive than my previous one,’ Danielle said.

‘As someone who loves food, I’ve learned sustainable eating habits that have allowed me to reach my goals without feeling deprived,’ she said, revealing that she sticks to a flexible diet of 80 per cent whole foods and 20 per cent of whatever she wants.

‘I’ve lost 22kg overall while still enjoying chocolate every night,’ she said. ‘My clothes fit better, and people have been commenting on my appearance.’

Another member, Georgia, has so far lost 9.9kg and says the science-backed health program has enabled her to lose weight while still enjoying her food: ‘For the first time ever I was losing weight without feeling starved or deprived,’ she shared.

‘It was a total mindset shift. I’m down 9.9kg and there’s no stopping me now,’
