Indy Clinton Opens Up About Her Nose Job On TikTok

Aussie influencer Indy Clinton has addressed the much-talked about topic of her nose job — and, in true Indy style, she’s not holding back.

Taking to TikTok last Friday, the 28-year-old mum and 2023’s TikTok Creator of the Year opened up to her 2.1 million followers about her not-so-great experience with cosmetic surgery, revealing that the result wasn’t at all what she wanted.

“I’m gonna talk about my nose hella quick, cause I’ve been wanting to get this off my chest,” Indy shared in her video.

“Everybody else seems to be talking about it but me, so where do we begin?”

Indy, who’s copped months of scrutiny and online trolling since revealing her new look, made it clear she was after “minor, minor tweaks” — not a totally different nose. “Do you think I asked for this? Genuinely?” she asked viewers, straight down the lens. “Let me just make it clear for you guys. I asked for minor, minor tweaks. I am Italian. I had a Mediterranean nose, I love that.”

She went on to explain the reason behind getting the surgery in the first place: “I got hit by a surfboard. I wanted a few things fixed, but we agreed on minor tweaks when I went under,” Indy said in the TikTok clip.

“That was what was agreed on. Does it look like I’ve had minor tweaks? There’s your answer, ladies and gentlemen.

“It’s just the way the cookie crumbles, I guess. Anywhoo. Onwards and upwards, as they say. Onwards and upwards.”

Despite the outcome, Indy says she doesn’t regret the decision entirely. In the TikTok caption, she admitted she wishes she “had her old nose back”, but is “thinking of it like abstract art, lol”.

The influencer’s honesty quickly won her plenty of support in the comments. “I actually love that you’ve spoken about it, I think people almost wanted to hear that you’re not pleased with it (only because you’re so open about everything else) and I’m sorry it didn’t go how you expected,” one fan wrote.

Someone else summed it up with, “You are still just gorgeous. Before, after, always. Sorry you aren’t happy.”

A fellow survivor of botched surgeries chimed in as well: “I hated my first nose job too. It didn’t turn out how it should. I was told to trust the process. After a year I still hated it. Went in for a second and it’s perfect.”

But even as fans supported her, other less kind comments kept rolling in. Some called it “one of the worst jobs I’ve ever seen,” while others said, “She’s ruined herself.” The backlash got so intense, Indy says she once hid her nose behind a mask during the early days of healing.

This prompted her, last month, to hire a private investigator to uncover some of the more persistent trolls. “These faceless strangers are hiding behind anonymous accounts, destroying mental health and costing lives,” Indy told her followers at the time, as she announced the results of her three-month investigation, which produced a 64-page document.

“I will create change and I will make an impact.”

On Instagram, Indy’s started a new account, @urnotanon, aiming to call out cyberbullies and push for safer online spaces. “Cyberbullying isn’t hidden, and neither are you,” the bio reads.

At the end of the day, Indy’s just trying to keep it real. She didn’t get the nose she wanted, but she’s not letting it define her, either. “Onwards and upwards,” as she says.
