Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei was transferred to a specially protected place under the protection of a top-secret elite unit. This was reported by the British newspaper The Daily Telegraph, citing unnamed Iranian sources.
Other details about the protection of the Iranian leader are unknown.
Previously, the CBS News television channel, citing its own sources, wrote that diplomats from the United States and the European Union are discussing who they want to see as the next leader of Iran after the possible overthrow of the current government.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi previously said that US President Donald Trump’s words regarding the possibility of eliminating Ayatollah Ali Khamenei are offensive.
