Karoline Leavitt shares the secret behind her postpartum glow

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has revealed the secret behind her postpartum glow just weeks after welcoming her second child.
Leavitt, 28, returned from maternity leave last week after giving birth to her second child, daughter Viviana, on May 1.
Ahead of the holiday weekend, Leavitt has been making the rounds on TV as the White House’s spokesperson, and many are praising the new mom-of-two for her glowing visage.
During an appearance on Fox & Friends on Monday, she was asked by the hosts about the secret to her post-pregnancy glow when she hilariously revealed the truth behind her radiance.
‘The makeup artist downstairs, who did my glam this morning,’ Leavitt joked.
‘I’m very sleep deprived, but a good glam will help you through the day,’ she added.
And it looked like her honesty resonated with fellow new mom Katie Miller, wife of White House Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy Stephen Miller, as she shared the clip on X Monday.
Miller recently gave birth to the couple’s fourth child, son Hawthorne Hayes Miller, earlier this month.

‘@Karolineleavitt is the realest,’ Miller wrote on X, praising the press secretary.
Elsewhere in the interview, Leavitt also spoke about how she balances having a newborn and working a demanding job, giving one simple answer.
‘You just do it, you just wake up and you just do your best every day, day after day,’ she told Fox & Friends with a smile on her face.
‘But the baby is perfect, she is so sweet, she’s so cute, and I look forward to going home right now to get back to her,’ Leavitt said of her daughter, who they call Vivi.
She and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, already share son Niko, who will turn two next month.
In the past, she’s been open about how much she loves being a mother, as she spoke to The Conservateur in 2024 about balancing her demanding job with raising her son.
Leavitt notoriously came back to work just a few days after she gave birth to Niko in July 2024, after President Donald Trump was shot at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
‘I felt compelled to be present in this historic moment,’ she explained to the outlet.
When asked about the secret to her glow, Leavitt, seen recently with her daughter, said: ‘The makeup artist downstairs, who did my glam this morning’
Leavitt worked down to the wire this pregnancy, as she took to the podium at 39 weeks pregnant, during what was supposed to be the start of her maternity leave in the wake of the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April
‘The president literally put his life on the line to win this election. The least I could do is get back to work quickly,’ she said.
At the time, Leavitt was the national press secretary for Trump’s presidential campaign, even working up until the last days of her pregnancy.
She told the outlet that their campaign headquarters at the time, in Palm Beach, was a very welcoming environment for working parents.
‘We have a really welcoming environment for children at the office, the headquarters in West Palm Beach,’ Leavitt shared.
‘You know, we joke that on Saturdays, it’s bring-your-kid-to-work day,’ she said, as both Danielle Alvarez, who was a senior adviser to the campaign, and Sonny Joy Nelson, who was the director of media bookings, also had young children.
‘Sonny and I will be on the phone with one another late at night or early in the morning,’ Leavitt recalled.
‘Her baby’s crying. My baby’s crying. We’re working together through the chaos. And it’s a crazy but very rewarding thing all at the same time.’
During Leavitt’s recent maternity leave, there was no formal replacement for the political star, as various members of the administration covered for her and held press conferences, including Vice President JD Vance.
While she was on leave, she did take to social media to share some sweet photos of her life as a mom-of-two, and even appeared with her husband at Trump’s birthday UFC fight on Sunday, June 14

Leavitt worked down to the wire this pregnancy, as she took to the podium at 39 weeks pregnant, during what was supposed to be the start of her maternity leave in the wake of the shooting at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April.
The annual event took a terrifying turn after a gunman attempted to target members of the Trump administration after guests had already posed up a storm on the red carpet.
In early May, President Trump announced that the White House Correspondents’ Dinner would be rescheduled for July 24.
The night ‘will feature significantly enhanced safety measures,’ per WHCA President Weijia Jiang.
While she was on leave, Leavitt took to social media to share some sweet photos of her life as a mom-of-two, and even appeared with her husband at Trump’s birthday UFC fight on Sunday, June 14.
Leavitt posted photos of the fun night to her Instagram page the next day, writing in the caption: ‘Mom and Dad night out for Freedom 250.’
The new mom-of-two glowed as she sported a red tweed dress with a matching cropped jacket by Alice + Olivia on top, which retails for $495.
Her hair was styled in a glamorous updo, as her husband wore a casual white plaid blazer.
