Katy Perry gave her 203 million Instagram followers a rare glimpse of her daughter in a post on Wednesday.
The 40-year-old pop star including a photo of Daisy, four, from behind, in keeping with her family tradition of not showing her daughter’s face on social media.
The unusual sight of Daisy — who was sang in one adorable video — was a particular surprise, as Katy’s ex-fiancé Orlando Bloom was lambasted by fans on social media just days earlier for posting what many called an ‘inappropriate’ photo of the little girl.
Although the 48-year-old Lord Of The Rings star didn’t include Daisy’s face in the quickly deleted snap, he set off some followers by sharing a nude photo of the little girl going swimming with him, even though he censored the image.
Notably absent from Katy’s Instagram update was an hint of her rumored romance with former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
In addition to giving an update on her family, Katy kept her fans abreast of the struggles of life on the road via a photo of her bloodied knee that she injured while touring.

Although Katy maintained her daughters privacy by not showing her face, she revealed more about Daisy than usual in an accompany video.
Daisy wasn’t seen in the clip, but she was heard singing sweetly while performing a puppet show with a lion hand puppet that bobbed up and down in a small stage setup.
The rest of the Fireworks singer’s post was devoted to creating a portrait of her recent travels since her split from Orlando.
She opened the slideshow with a silly photo of herself beaming with her eyes closed and one hand in the air as she paused a bike ride.
‘we continue to be on tour,’ she captioned the post, which she limited comments on.
The few comments that made it in under the wire were exclusively adoring, a far cry from the critical comments Katy’s ex Orlando received after he posted — and then quickly deleted — a far more risqué photo of their daughter.
