Karoline Leavitt shares anguish at her baby girl growing up too fast… but risks angering boss Trump with subtle detail

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is already sharing her heartache about her newborn baby girl, Viviana, growing older – but one subtle detail may anger boss President Donald Trump.
Leavitt, 28, took to her Instagram stories on Thursday evening to share a sweet photo of her holding newborn Vivi, who was cuddled up in her arms wearing a strawberry-print onesie.
‘How is she going to be seven weeks old tomorrow?’ Leavitt wrote in the caption of the photo, followed by a crying-face emoji.
She accompanied the photo with a song by Taylor Swift, titled Never Grow Up – a classic from her 2010 Speak Now album about how bittersweet it is to get older.
‘Your little hands wrapped around my finger, and it’s so quiet in the world tonight,’ Swift sang in the part that Leavitt included.
‘Your little eyelids flutter ’cause you’re dreaming so I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light,’ she sang.
However, the song was quite the interesting choice as Trump has consistently expressed his dislike for the A-list singer over the years.
In fact, in September 2024, just days after she endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election, Trump took to Truth Social to share that he ‘hated’ the star.

And in May 2025, seemingly out of nowhere, Trump wrote on Truth Social: ‘Has anyone noticed that, since I said “I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT,” she’s no longer “HOT?”‘
In August of that same year, he returned to this theme, praising Sydney Sweeney – who said she voted Republican – and criticizing Swift.
‘Just look at woke singer Taylor Swift,’ he said on Truth Social.
‘Ever since I alerted the world as to what she was by saying on TRUTH that I can’t stand her (HATE!). She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT. The tide has seriously turned — Being WOKE is for losers, being Republican is what you want to be. Thank you for your attention to this matter!’
Most recently, Trump attended game three of the NBA championship playoffs – and was met with ‘boos’ from the crowd, while Swift received cheers from the crowd after attending game 4.
While Leavitt is usually by the President’s side for such events, she has been on maternity leave since early May.
Vivi was born on May 1, just days after the attempted assassination of President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in April.
The annual event took a terrifying turn after a gunman attempted to target members of the Trump administration after guests had already posed up a storm on the red carpet.

The suspected gunman is California teacher Cole Tomas Allen, 31, who is facing a number of charges including attempting to assassinate the President.

In her absence, there was no formal replacement for the political star, as other members of the administration have been covering for her and holding press conferences, including Vice President JD Vance.
Leavitt and her husband, Nicholas Riccio, 60, already share son Niko, who will turn two next month.

The new mom of two glowed as she sported a red tweed dress with a matching cropped jacket by Alice + Olivia on top, which retails for $495.
Her hair was styled in a glamorous updo, as her husband wore a casual white plaid blazer.
Leavitt posted photos of the fun night to her Instagram page Monday, writing in the caption, ‘Mom + Dad night out for Freedom 250.’
She has not publicly announced a return date to the White House.
