Koby Abberton’s glamorous Ukrainian model ex goes public with Aussie roofer boyfriend – almost a year after her Byron Bay move left the Bra Boy ‘devastated’ and pleading: ‘Take my boy ASAP’

Koby Abberton’s glamorous ex-wife Olya Nechyporenko has moved on with an Australian roofer and business owner.

The Ukrainian model, who split with the renowned Bra Boy, 47, in 2023, first shared photos of her new beau on Instagram last Tuesday but didn’t reveal his name.

She then shared his identity on Monday, posting a reel of photos as she tagged him and revealed he is ZMH Roofing founder and director Zach Hansen. 

The carousel gave a glimpse into Olya and Zach’s life recently, with the pair appearing to enjoy a road trip together.

Another image in the photo dump showed them getting close in an elevator, while other pictures saw Olya spending time with friends.  

Last week, Olya also shared photos of Zach. 

In one image, posted to her Stories, Olya could be seen smiling as she sat on the back of a scooter behind her new man.

‘Such a beautiful memory. I just threw him into the deep end after barely knowing each other,’ Olya wrote, appearing to indicate the photo was an old one.

‘Went into a local priest house, made us wear traditional clothing, led him to waterfalls to pray and cleanse. 

‘Melukat ceremony. Bathing in flowers and holy water, saying thank you to land which held me.’ 

Olya then shared another photo she took of her beau standing on the back porch of a house, with a moving truck in the background. 

‘Quantum leaped into my dream,’ she captioned the image. 

When the Daily Mail approached Olya and Zach for comment, Olya said she didn’t wish to share any more details about their relationship.

‘I’d like to keep my relationship private,’ she said. 

Koby and Olya split in 2023, with the model last appearing on his Instagram in a Christmas Day post that year. 

The pair later confirmed the breakup to the Mail in 2025, but didn’t wish to comment any further on the demise of their marriage. 

Koby met Olya in Bali after moving there in 2011, and the couple share an 11-year-old son named Makua.

The Bra Boy-turned-pro surfer made headlines in December when he pleaded for someone to get his son out of Byron Bay after Olya moved there with Makua. 

He made the alarming plea while reacting to a video showing people swimming with a group of sharks that were chasing a school of fish off the coast of Byron.

‘Anyone in Byron take my boy asap. Hit me up for contact,’ Koby wrote as he re-posted the footage on Instagram.

His message came after he revealed he was left ‘devastated’ when Olya took their son Makua to live with her in Byron. The family had previously lived together in Bali.

Olya announced her move to Byron Bay in early November when she asked her social media followers if they could help find a home for her and Makua.

‘Ku and I are on the hunt for a cosy two-bedroom home in Byron/Suffolk (Park),’ she posted, adding that her budget was about $700 per week and they wanted to move in as soon as possible.

At one stage, Koby dreamed of having a large family with his estranged wife, who is also a psychologist, accountant and business owner.

‘I would love four kids,’ he told the Daily Mail in 2021, when he was appearing on the Channel Seven show SAS Australia.

‘I want to replicate my brothers’ lives… but I don’t know if my wife’s got those plans.’

The former couple got engaged in March 2015, when Olya was six months pregnant.

She revealed the happy news on Instagram, sharing a photo of the pair along with the words: ‘I want to remember this day forever. My dreams become true. I’m going to be a wife to my best friend. I said YES.’

Her acceptance followed Koby publicly popping the question via an Instagram post in July 2014.

‘Remember when I’m rude and f*** up that I love you,’ he wrote.

‘I still love you with your smart mouth more than anything in the world… I’m rude but I know you love bad boys… marry me.’

Koby also paid a heartfelt tribute to his ex when he took to Facebook to reveal they were expecting Makua.

‘Olya has changed my mind in so many positive ways,’ he wrote.

‘I want Wolfgang Abberton but my girl dislikes that name. Classic, Legend, Kaos, Storm, Ai, Classic, Chrome, any ideas?’ he asked his followers.
