LeBron James sends fans into meltdown with shock Met Gala announcement… just hours before ‘historical event’ in New York

NBA icon LeBron James was named one of six athletes named to the committee of the 2025 Met Gala. Unfortunately, the Lakers star won’t be attending.

In a move that has come as a shock to many of ‘King James” biggest fans, the 39-year-old announced he’d be pulling out of the iconic event due to a knee injury.

‘Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on!,’ James posted to his account on X.

‘Hate to miss an historical event! My beautiful powerful Queen will be there holding the castle down as she always has done!’
