Like father, like son! Freddie Flintoff’s 18-year-old son, Rocky, blazes stunning maiden hundred for Lancashire in just 65 balls

Rocky Flintoff, son of England legend Freddie, enjoyed a day to remember as he struck his maiden hundred for Lancashire.

Playing against Somerset in the Metro Bank One Day Cup, Flintoff, 18, smashed a stunning 123 off just 76 balls as Lancashire racked up a mammoth 443-6 off their 50 overs.

The 18-year-old struck 10 fours and seven sixes as he shone in the blazing sunshine in Taunton.

Flintoff looked in imperious form and brought up his 100 in just 65 balls as he put on a 214-run fourth wicket partnership with former England opener Keaton Jennings, who hit 156. 

The middle-order batter was eventually dismissed off the bowling of South African Migael Pretorius, with Archie Vaughan, son of Ashes 2005-winning captain Michael, a former team-mate of Flintoff Snr, taking the catch.

Flintoff made his First-Class and List A debuts as a 16-year-old during the 2024 season, but after missing much of the 2025 campaign through injury, he has been given an opportunity to shine over recent weeks.

With several of Lancashire’s more senior batters away at The Hundred, Flintoff has featured in seven of their eight group matches in the One Day Cup and impressed.  

After his knock on Tuesday, Flintoff had scored 293 runs at an average of 73.25 across seven innings.
