Lucky punter turns £2 bet into £52,000 winnings after correctly backing SEVEN winners at Ascot and York races

A SkyBet punter has had a very good day at the races after turning a £1 each way bet into a mammoth £52,252 winning.

The anonymous racing fan pulled off the ultimate dream wager on Saturday afternoon, putting down a total stake of just £2 on a complex seven-fold accumulator.

Against all odds, every single horse crossed the finish line in first place across two of the country’s most iconic racecourses: Ascot and York.

The unbelievable run started at 1.45pm when 11/2 rated Moonrise powered to victory. Fifteen minutes later, Stratusnine won the 14:00 handicap at 10/3, giving the punter a strong early start.

Hope turned to belief as Kon Tiki (7/2) and Item (3/1) won back-to-back races, followed by Amazing Journey clamining victory at 4/1.

Dwindling Funds delivered the opposite of its name when it boosted the pot with a 5/1 win, despite a Rule 4 deduction after a late withdrawal from the race.

Then, at 3.35pm, Kalpana provided a thrilling finale. The 13/2 horse was the longest shot of the accumalator but didn’t let the SkyBet punter down, winning his race to seal a huge payday.

The modest £1 each-way stake returned a mammoth £52,252.12 jackpot, leaving the bookies in disbelief.

Here’s how the seven-leg accumalator played out in full:
