MAFS’ Bec Zacharia Returns To Instagram With Pointed Message After Getting Banned Over AFW Drama

Former Married At First Sight bride Bec Zacharia has returned to Instagram, a week after her account was deactivated over a scandal at Australian Fashion Week.
Bec — one of MAFS season 13’s most talked-about participants — claimed earlier this month that her Instagram profile was taken down after she was “mass-reported” by users following a viral interview during AFW.
In that interview with The Gloss Over Podcast, Bec claimed she spent $20,000 on her wardrobe throughout her time on MAFS, adding that she was “the only bride” who bought her outfits as opposed to hiring them.
The comment was quickly refuted by Aussie dress hire company RESRVD, whose owner, Savannah, shared receipts on social media that showed Bec had enlisted her services for an outfit worn in the Final Vows ceremony.
Bec copped backlash over the claim to the point of receiving mass reports on her Instagram, resulting in it being deactivated.
But the reality star’s page has since been reinstated, and she shared an Instagram post with her MAFS co-star Alissa Fay over the weekend.

“Sticks and stones may break our bones, but names will NEVER hurt us,” Bec captioned the picture.
It’s not known exactly how Bec was able to regain access to her Instagram page. PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out to Bec for comment.
The aftermath of the viral interview
Soon after her account was deactivated, Bec said her social media page “was literally my income source”.
“Now, my Instagram being deleted because of so many people reporting me has literally completely stopped any form of income I had coming up, and it’s detrimental to my whole life,” she told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
“I’m barely surviving, and I’m completely cash poor,” she added.

Bec apologised to Savannah and RESRVD for the interview that got her into hot water in the first place, saying she “never meant to maliciously hurt Savannah”.
“It was an honest and genuine mistake. As soon as I realised her grievances, I posted it and tagged her and thanked her and apologised,” Bec told PEDESTRIAN.TV.
Savannah has not responded to Bec’s apology, but she did share a video thanking viewers for their support last week.
