Major update on Lionel Messi’s stricken father after Argentina star’s World Cup tears

Lionel Messi’s father is hoping to be released from hospital in the ‘near future’, reports in Argentina have claimed.
The Messi family issued a statement last week explaining that Jorge, 68, is undergoing a ‘health situation’ after his son was seen in tears during Argentina’s 3-0 win over Algeria on Tuesday.
Messi is extremely close to his dad, 68, who also operates as his agent and de facto business manager, overseeing his son’s multi-million dollar empire off the field.
And, according to Argentine outlet Paparazzi, Jorge has shown signs of improvement and is hoping to be out of hospital soon.
