Man charged with murder after horror discovery of a body found inside a Queensland unit

A man has been charged with murder hours after another was found dead inside his unit south of Brisbane.
Police made the grim discovery after officers were called to the North Road complex in Woodridge about 7.15am on Tuesday to conduct a welfare check.
Tony Cue, 65, was found unresponsive inside a unit suffering from an ‘obvious injury’. He could not be revived.
Forensic officers spent the day removing evidence from the unit as homicide detectives launched an investigation into Mr Cue’s death.
Following extensive inquiries, a man, 32, was arrested by police in nearby Beenleigh on Tuesday night.
He was charged with murder and will appear in Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Inquiries continue.
Police have not yet revealed whether a weapon was allegedly used or had been recovered from the crime scene.

Police inquiries into Mr Cue’s death continue
News of Mr Cue’s death has shocked neighbours, who last saw him on Monday watering his plants, a daily ritual that he enjoyed.
He had lived at the unit complex for more than three decades and was described as ‘a good guy’.
‘He liked to stop for a chat, just see how people are going,’ one neighbour told reporters.
‘We weren’t expecting something like this to happen so close to home, literally.
‘It’s not a great feeling to know something terrible has happened to someone you’ve interacted with.’
