Man United ‘considering signing young goalkeeper after impressive performances on trial at Carrington’

Manchester United are reportedly considering signing a young goalkeeper who is currently on trial with the club.

Abdulla Al-Hammadi has been training at Carrington and has impressed coaches, according to the Manchester Evening News.

The stopper was an unused substitute for the U21 side as they drew 1-1 in their friendly with Rochdale last weekend.

He could now be offered a contract following the departure of Hubert Graczyk, whose deal expired this summer.

Al-Hammadi was a trialist at Everton earlier this year and kept a clean sheet for the U21s in a test game against Bolton Wanderers B at the new Hill Dickinson Stadium.

That means the 20-year-old has the honour of being the first ever goalkeeper to keep one at the ground.

Al-Hammadi previously played in Saudi Arabia for Saudi Pro League side Al Wasl.

He has also captained the UAE U18s but it appears as though he sees his future in England.

Graczyk spent just one season at United following his move from Arsenal last summer.
