Man United mark Mason Mount as NOT FOR SALE – despite £21.5m interest from AC Milan

Manchester United have no plans to sell Mason Mount this summer amid speculation in Italy that AC Milan could make a £21.5million bid for the player.
Reports suggested that Mount has been offered to Milan and former United boss Ruben Amorim is interested in taking the player to the San Siro.
However, United are unaware of any discussions over the 27-year-old and are not looking to move him on.
It’s understood that Mount has no intention of leaving Old Trafford either, and has been working with a coach on an individual fitness programme in Spain to be ready for his return to pre-season training next week. The first group of players are due back at Carrington on July 9.
Mount has endured a stop-start United career since arriving from Chelsea in a £60million deal in the summer of 2023, making only 72 appearances in three years due to a series of injuries.
His most consistent run of games came under Amorim, who returned to work with Milan earlier this month after being sacked by United in January.

Mount’s ability to play in the midfield pivot or one of the wide positions in 4-2-3-1 formation makes him a valuable member of Michael Carrick’s squad.
United have embarked on a midfield rebuild this summer following Casemiro’s departure as a free agent, and are now set to lose Manuel Ugarte for an extended period of time after the Uruguay international suffered a suspected torn ACL in his left knee at the World Cup.
United have agreed a £39million deal with Atalanta for Ederson, and are in a tug-of-war with Tottenham over West Ham’s £80million-rated Mateus Fernandes.
Ugarte’s injury may scupper their plans to sign a third midfielder, making it even less likely that the club would consider letting Mount leave.
