Netflix Drops Its Trailer For The Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn Documentary
It’s officially time to bust out the kangaroo and the sprinkler, ‘cos Netflix has dropped the trailer for its documentary on viral Olympic breaker Rachael ‘Raygun’ Gunn.
Continuing to add to its Untold docuseries — which features the stories of Caitlyn Jenner, Lamar Odom, Hope Solo and more — Raygun is the next athlete to have their career in the streaming giant’s spotlight.
For those who need a refresher, Rachael Gunn, famously known as Raygun, gained infamy for her run at the historic Paris 2024 Olympic Games breaking competition.
What was supposed to be a history-first in the sporting world (and Australia) was reduced to a memeable performance, with many taking aim at Raygun’s dance moves.
But alongside the online jokes, some punters were angered by Raygun’s representation of Australia at the Olympics. One anonymous person also accused the Olympian and Chef de Mission, Anna Meares, of “unethical conduct” during the Olympic selection process.
But now, with the dust seemingly settled, Netflix and Raygun have teamed up to share the ~untold~ story of the Olympian and her journey to Paris 2024.

At the start of the trailer, Raygun recalled a conversation she had with her therapist ahead of the Olympic Games, describing that she was “panicked”.
“She was like, ‘What’s the worst that could happen?’” Raygun recalled.
“‘The whole world could laugh at me.’ She’s like, ‘Do you think that’s reasonable?’”
The show then showed a flash of memes of the world, well, laughing at her performance, with Raygun describing her virality as a “frenzy” and a “monster”.
“I know I’m a dorky white woman who’s an academic and I’m a B-Girl,” she said in the trailer.
The teaser then quickly teased a dive into the allegations surrounding her Olympic selection, featuring snippets of creators and TikToks calling her a “cheater”.
It then ended with Rachael questioning her identity, whether she is still Rachael or Raygun.
While we’ll have to wait until September 1st for it to drop, there’s one thing I’m itching to know. Will it touch on Raygun’s appearance at the PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION Awards where she won “Sports Star of the Year” in 2024 (before the Olympics BTW)?
