On sidelines of BRICS NSA’s meeting: India and China take note of ‘normalisation’ in ties
The two leaders met at the sidelines of the BRICS NSAs’ Meeting in New Delhi. “They reviewed recent developments in bilateral relations and noted progress towards gradual normalisation,” sources said.
Doval underlined that stable, predictable and constructive bilateral relations contribute to building trust and better understanding between the two sides. “The discussions were constructive and forward-looking,” they added.
Earlier in May, the two sides engaged in the 35th Meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation & Coordination on India-China Border Affairs in Beijing. The two sides agreed to work together to make “substantive preparation” for the next meeting of the special representatives.
