Australia’s very own Patrick Brammall has officially been spotted cosying up to Anne Hathaway on the Brooklyn set of The Devil Wears Prada 2, and honestly, even he looks slightly stunned to be there.
Two weeks after the world learned the former Home and Away cameo would be Hathaway’s new on-screen flame, the actors have been snapped looking extremely couple-y: think a snazzy suit, a blue cocktail dress that is immediately going on my Pinterest boards and yes, a cheeky sidewalk pash.
Brammall, 49, is taking over the love interest gig from Adrian Grenier, who isn’t returning for the sequel as Nate (THANK GOD, no hate to Adrian, but Nate was obviously the villain).
Instead, Brammall — known for co-creating and starring in Colin From Accounts — is making the leap from local legend to, well, international rom-com arm candy.
If you’re thinking, ‘Didn’t another Aussie already woo Hathaway in this franchise?’ — you’re bang on. Simon Baker was doing hot Australian boyfriend duties back in 2006, proving once again that we really have a head up in the export sector.
Filming in New York City this week, Hathaway and Brammall were caught in character — dancing, snuggling, and generally doing all the classic rom com montage moves.
Whether Brammall’s business suit gave him “finance bro or charming editor” vibes was unclear, but Hathaway’s dress had big main character energy all over it.
This sequel is dropping nearly 20 years after the first film turned the fashion industry’s most savage eyebrow into a pop culture icon.
Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, and Emily Blunt are all confirmed to return. The sequel is set to have Miranda Priestly navigate the challenges of a dying print publication while coming up against Emily who is now a high-powered exec in advertising. I CAN’T WAIT!!
So, set those calendar reminders, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is slated for release in May 2026.
