Happy Hunger Games, my fellow District dwellers!
Today is the 2026 Met Gala, which not only means we’re judging a bunch of rich folks from the comfort of our hand-me-downs (it’s couture, check the tag!), but also that our timelines are alight with some hilarious memes that are proving just as artful as the fashions.
This year’s Met Gala arrived on a hotbed of controversy via honorary co-chairs Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez, who joined official co-chairs Beyoncé, Nicole Kidman, Venus Williams, and Anna Wintour.
A bunch of celebs have already graced the steps of the Metropolitan Museum under the theme of Costume Art, but for those watching at home (or on a seperate tab in the office), the real show (that is, regular folks offering their niche internet takes) is just getting started.
