From jewellery to body cream, the best wearable forms of perfume

No category in beauty right now is as exciting as perfume. There’s just so much happening – salty perfumes, herbaceous perfumes, fragrance that smells like fresh bread (really). But beyond scent categories, there’s also a lot of innovation in the way we wear perfume. Eau de parfums and toilettes are dependable classics but what about other wearable forms of fragrance, like hair mist, stickers, scented jewellery and body superlatives.
It’s a sub-category that’s growing and definitely one I want to get acquainted with. Whether an alternative to regular perfume or a way to dial up longevity and projection, wearable fragrance is a fun way to further explore self expression via scent. The best ones to try, below.
Byredo Bal D’Afrique Body Mist
This watery mist imparts a cloud of bergamot, blackcurrant, jasmine and lily. It’s safe for skin, hair and your clothes, too.
Victoria Beckham Beauty San Ysidro Perfume Bottle Necklace
This tiny pendant comes with a funnel, meaning you can pour your favourite VB scent inside and wear it around your neck. The dab on format makes for easy touch-ups, too.
Sophie Buhai Perfume Pendant Necklace

This is part perfume, part accessory. Made from silver and inspired by ancient wearable witchy perfume vials, it’s perfect with a few drops of your favourite scent inside.
Miss Dior Mini Miss Solid Perfume

This waxy balm glides onto the skin, leaving behind notes of lush jasmine, cedar and patchouli.
Diptyque Do Son Solid Perfume

This weighty compact makes for a great paperweight. Plus, it has a solid iteration of Diptyque’s famous tropical white floral Do Son scent inside.
Hermes Barenia Hair Perfume Mist

If you want your hair to leave a scented trail, this hair mist is one to try. Barenia is an airy chypre with oakwood, patchouli and lily.
Rare Beauty Amber Vanilla Fragrance Layering Balm

This layering balm can be worn alone, or underneath an additional fragrance to give it a soft, sweet, vanilla edge. It’s rich and creamy, enhancing the projection of classic perfumes as well.
CHANEL Beauty Coco Mademoiselle Pearly Body Oil

This scented oil has almost as much projection as the Coco Mademoiselle edp but with a flattering shimmer and long-lasting veil of moisture.
