Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was today accused of committing sex crimes in the US by a Republican congressman.
The former Duke of York was named by Thomas Massie during a speech in the US House of Representatives in Washington DC amid renewed calls for the errant royal to face prosecution.
Demanding that associates of paedophile Jeffrey Epstein be held accountable, Kentucky congressman Mr Massie said: ‘We want perpetrators of these crimes to be investigated and prosecuted.’
Mr Massie, a leading figure in the push to release the first tranche of Epstein files, also named former Barclays boss Jes Staley and magician David Copperfield.
‘And Prince Andrew, who committed sex crimes in the United States,’ he said.
He added: ‘Perhaps hearing these names will shame the Department of Justice into delivering justice.’

Andrew vehemently denies committing any sex offences. Buckingham Palace has also been asked to comment.
Mr Massie has emerged as one of the most persistent critics of the Justice Department’s handling of the Epstein scandal.
He is trying to pass legislation that would force the US government to release any additional unreleased Epstein documents.
Despite being a staunch Republican, Mr Massie warned in May that Donald Trump had ‘disenfranchised’ many Americans who voted for him and their party over issues including Iran and government spending.
He will not stand in next year’s mid-term elections after being beaten by a challenger handpicked by the President, who has publicly called Mr Massie a ‘moron’ and ‘loser’.
Virginia Giuffre claimed she had sex with Andrew three times when she was 17 and had been trafficked to him by Epstein.
Ms Giuffre claimed two of those sexual encounters took place on US soil, in New York and on Epstein’s private island in the US Virgin Islands.
The intervention in Congress came just 48 hours after it was revealed that another woman who claims she was flown to the UK by Epstein to have sex with Andrew has had a change of heart about testifying against him.
The Mail on Sunday reported in May that the unnamed woman – who alleges she spent a night with the former prince in Windsor – was reluctant to make a formal complaint to British detectives investigating trafficking claims because she did not want to ‘risk losing her privacy’.
Now her US lawyer, Bradley Edwards, has revealed he has been in contact with police in the UK after his client went from a ‘hard no’ to a ‘maybe’ in assisting the ongoing criminal case.
The woman says she was in her 20s when, at Epstein’s request, she spent a night with Andrew at Royal Lodge in Windsor in 2010. It is alleged she was also given a tour of Buckingham Palace and tea afterwards.
Mr Edwards said he had spoken to British police about interviewing his client in the US, but nothing had been agreed.
He added: ‘She has gone from a hard no to a maybe. Her main concern is to protect her child and she doesn’t want her kid being harassed.
‘If those issues can be addressed it could happen. She is thinking about it. I think she should testify because what happened was wrong. But I’m not going to push her. It has to be her choice.’
Andrew was arrested on his 66th birthday in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office after documents released by the Trump administration appeared to show him passing sensitive information to Epstein during their decade-long friendship.

In May, Thames Valley Police, which is leading the investigation, said it was widening the inquiry to include sex trafficking.
The information Andrew allegedly shared included reports of official visits to Hong Kong, Vietnam and Singapore as well as a confidential briefing about investment opportunities in the reconstruction of Helmand province in Afghanistan.
It is understood that Thames Valley’s investigation into Andrew is being given the same resources as a major crime probe and that specialist sexual offence investigators are part of the team.
Mr Edwards, who has represented more than 200 alleged Epstein victims, previously sued Andrew on behalf of the late Ms Giuffre, who alleged she had sex at 17 with the former duke of York in London, New York and on Epstein’s Caribbean island.
Andrew settled for a reported £12million before the case went to trial but did not admit liability.
The files released by the Department of Justice contained damning messages from Andrew to Epstein in 2010 talking about setting him up with a woman.
Epstein offered to set the former prince up with a ‘friend’ who was ’26, russian, clevere [sic] beautiful, trustworthy’. It is not known if the woman in the email is the same one Mr Edwards represents.
