Raid on the three largest offices of Suzuki

Prosecutors in Germany, Italy and Hungary suspected that the Japanese company Suzuki did not report the amount of harmful emissions from diesel cars.

During the investigation, the commissions established by the prosecutor’s offices came to the conclusion that special sensors were installed on certain types of turbodiesel engines, which always recorded the same minimum values of emissions of harmful substances, even at the time of engine start-up and under load.

In total, the company managed to install these engines on about 22 thousand Suzuki cars. of the SX4 and Vitara models produced in Hungary.

It is noteworthy that the motors for the cars were supplied by Stellantis, and the electronic components for them were shipped by Marelli. Suzuki representatives have agreed to cooperate with the investigation into this case.
