A married New York doctor pleaded with his stripper mistress for mercy as she allegedly threatened to ‘end’ his family and have his father-in-law killed, explosive texts filed in court reveal.
Dr Keith Hoerning, 51, has asked a Suffolk County judge to toss Rosana Kissoon’s lawsuit against him and his wife, claiming Kissoon, a 39-year-old exotic dancer, blackmailed him for months by demanding money in exchange for keeping their relationship a secret.
Kissoon claimed in a filing last month that Hoerning pursued her into an 18-month affair, professed his love and showered her with financial support, while repeatedly promising he would leave his family so they could build a life together.
She alleged that after she finally exposed the relationship to his wife Nicole, 34, Hoerning tried to have her arrested and sought a restraining order by falsely portraying her as a violent threat to his family.
Now Hoerning is firing back with his own sworn account – describing his relationship with Kissoon as the ‘worst mistake of my life’ in a Thursday filing.
He also claims the substantial sums he sent her were not acts of romantic generosity, but payments made in response to her increasingly volatile demands and threats.
Filed alongside the motion are screenshots of alleged text exchanges that Hoerning claims capture Kissoon’s threats escalating as their affair fell apart.
In one, Kissoon allegedly asked Hoerning: ‘Are u willing to pay me to let this go and leave u alone?’

Rosana Kissoon, 39, alleged in a lawsuit that she and Hoerning had an affair after meeting at a Long Island strip club but he later called the police when she exposed their affair to his wife
The message followed a string of complaints that Hoerning made time for his wife but not for her, with Kissoon allegedly writing: ‘All I wanted was for you to try and make us happy. You never even try. U are only doing things for that relationship not ours.’
Other exchanges were considerably darker.
Kissoon allegedly told Hoerning, ‘From now on you will only pay me,’ before declaring minutes later, ‘I want u dead,’ and warning: ‘If i have be with u I’ll end ur family.’
Hoerning responded apologetically, writing: ‘I’m sorry’ and ‘I don’t understand what happened.’
In another exchange, Kissoon allegedly threatened Hoerning’s father-in-law after suggesting he was standing in the way of their relationship.
‘I will get him killed,’ she wrote, according to the exhibit. ‘If he’s why we cant be together.’
‘I dont want you to hurt anyone,’ Hoerning replied, before repeatedly urging her to stop.

The filings also allegedly show fights in which money and the prospect of exposing the affair appeared intertwined.
‘I want it all,’ Kissoon allegedly wrote in one exchange. ‘You said you will pay for my car… You want her ok… It will be a price ok.’
Hoerning replied, ‘I can’t be if you keep acting this way,’ later adding, ‘I paid bc you told me.’
In an additional exchange, Kissoon is alleged to have written: ‘It’s over…I never cared about u… I used u.’
The texts are followed by nine individual messages that read: ‘I want to call her,’ appearing to reference Hoerning’s wife, Nicole.
‘I don’t know why u are being like this…Please stop…Pleas [sic] just stop,’ Hoerning pleads in response.
His attorneys claim the messages show Kissoon was using the threat of disclosure to extract money from the doctor, an allegation she has previously disputed through her lawsuit, which characterized the payments as voluntary financial support during their relationship.
‘I met Rosana Kissoon and developed a relationship with her that reflects the worst mistake of my life,’ a sworn affirmation from Hoerning reads.
‘Capitalizing on my mistake, Ms Kissoon began demanding money from me on the threat of exposing our secret relationship to my family, and she engaged in other threatening and menacing behavior.’

Kissoon is seeking damages that could exceed $1 million. Her attorney has not yet responded to Hoerning’s filing
Hoerning said that he eventually hired an attorney, ended the relationship and made clear he would no longer be ‘caving’ to Kissoon’s alleged threats.
‘The present lawsuit appears to be an attempt to continue menacing and embarrassing me, now out in the spotlight of public litigation filings, even though the suit is completely meritless on its substance.’
Kissoon’s attorney, Michael Treanor, has not yet returned a request for comment on the new filings.
In earlier remarks to the Daily Mail, however, Treanor rejected suggestions that Kissoon had pursued Hoerning for his money and insisted she had genuinely believed they were building a future together.
‘When I took on this case, it didn’t strike me as a gold-digger situation,’ he said. ‘It struck me that she cared for him.’
Treanor instead accused Hoerning of turning the legal system against Kissoon once their relationship collapsed.
‘She found out she wasn’t going to have that, and then Keith brought the whole legal system and judicial and police force on her,’ he said.
Barket had already accused Kissoon of blackmail before Thursday’s filing, telling the Daily Mail that her lawsuit was ‘filled with lies’ and claiming he had text messages and recordings that proved an ‘extortion plot.’
He described Hoerning as a married man who had made an ‘error’ and was subsequently blackmailed, and did not rule out pursuing criminal charges against Kissoon over her alleged conduct.

Hoerning’s attorney accused Kissoon of blackmail before Thursday’s filing, telling the Daily Mail that her lawsuit was ‘filled with lies’ and he had text messages proving an ‘extortion plot’
The Hoernings are asking a Suffolk County judge to throw out Kissoon’s entire case, arguing that even if her version of events is accepted as true, she still has no valid legal claim against them.
They also want it declared a SLAPP suit, essentially accusing Kissoon of weaponizing the courts to punish them for reporting her to police and seeking protective orders.
If the judge agrees, Kissoon could potentially be ordered to pay their attorney fees and other damages.
Kissoon is seeking damages that could exceed $1 million, accusing the Hoernings of abusing the legal process, defaming her and intentionally causing her emotional harm after she exposed the affair.
Her attorney, Michael Treanor, previously told the Daily Mail that Kissoon believed Hoerning’s promises of a future together and had been victimized when the relationship instead ended in police and court action.
‘It’s not just that she thought she was going to have a better life,’ Treanor said. ‘She’s done nothing wrong but have a relationship with Mr. Hoerning.’
Barket has offered a starkly different view, portraying Kissoon as the aggressor and likening her lawsuit to a burglar attempting to sue a homeowner after getting hurt during a break-in.
‘It’s frivolous and insane,’ Barket claimed. ‘I can’t believe she found a lawyer to bring it, but it certainly explains in part why our profession is not always held in high esteem.’
