Road worker fights for life after being crushed by a four tonne bitumen roller on Sydney’s M2

A worker has been left fighting for life after being crushed by a four-tonne bitumen roller in Sydney’s northern suburbs.

The man, aged in his 60s, was run over while working on the M2 at Cheltenham at 10.50pm on Wednesday.

He sustained injuries to his abdomen, pelvis and right leg. 

The man was rushed to Royal North Shore Hospital in a critical condition.
