Taylor Swift has sent fans into a frenzy after appearing to debut a new engagement ring.
The pop icon, 36, who wed NFL star Travis Kelce, also 36, in July, teased fans earlier today after her website launched a mysterious two-hour countdown.
When the clock struck 2pm ET, Swift revealed the cover artwork for her new single titled Patient Zero.
The CD mock-ups showed imagery from each of the versions being released on September 25.
But it was the ‘piano version’ snap that caused the biggest stir on social media.
The image saw the hitmaker wearing a ribbed gray vest as she sat against a background of a similar hue.
She wore her long blonde tresses loose and swept over one shoulder as she looked wistfully off to the side.
Swift rested her head on her left hand – with her engagement ring on full display.

However, the dazzling jewel looked starkly different to previous photos of the ring that now-husband Kelce previously proposed with.
Swift’s original engagement ring was an old mine brilliant-cut vintage diamond in a bezel setting on an 18k yellow gold band from Kindred Lubeck at Artifex Fine Jewelry.
The new picture appeared to show a solitaire-cut ring in a silver band.
And the difference did not go unnoticed by keen Swifties.
‘So why is no one talking about how that’s not her real ring?’ one wrote, in part.
‘That’s not her ring!!!!!!??’ another added.
‘Maybe it is HER ring but it’s def not THE ring. Anyway I think it means something.’
Others came up with a whole host of other theories – from her playing the role of a character for the album to the image being AI-enhanced.

‘She’s probably playing a character or it’s a short film or something.
‘Different ring tells me it might be something like a song for a movie and isn’t about her,’ one offered.
‘I think this is sharpened with AI and they didn’t get the ring right,’ another pondered.
‘She’s rich enough to have more than one,’ concluded a third.
