Taylor Swift’s newlywed ‘bliss’ as Mrs Kelce: Friends reveal extraordinarily intimate details from inside marital home… their mornings ‘waking up together’… and Travis’ pet name that makes her ‘melt’

It was only one month ago that Taylor Swift brought Midtown Manhattan to a grinding halt as a fleet of blacked-out SUVs descended on Madison Square Garden for her star-studded wedding to Travis Kelce.

But after such an extravagant spectacle, the newlyweds have largely disappeared from prying eyes, with many details of their ultra-secret nuptials and new life as husband and wife kept tightly under wraps.

That was until Swift spilled all the details of being Mrs Kelce to her friend, a fellow musician, last week, the Daily Mail has learned. 

‘Taylor said she was happier than ever now that she is Mrs Kelce and says their married life has been blissful so far,’ a source told the Daily Mail. ‘She is a blissed-out wife who is focusing on the simple things in life.’

In fact, they added, the singer can often be found experimenting in the kitchen or spending time with the pets she shares between her and her NFL star husband – her three cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson and Benjamin Button, and his fluffy white Samoyed.

‘She has been spending her days lazing about as she cooks dinner and bakes bread for her new husband – she has become quite the chef and is trying a lot of Italian dishes and learning Italian at the same time, little bits, and drinking white wine,’ the source said. 

‘She has also been with her cats and Travis’ dog, they love their fur children, and are nesting with them. She said they all get along because they got the dog as a tiny puppy and the cats took to the dog, so no fights.’

Meanwhile, the couple, both 36, have also been hitting the gym – and the green.

‘She and Travis work out every day, they know their careers demand that they are in top shape, so they work out together,’ the source added. ‘They were mixing it up with power walks, swimming and weight lifting.

‘Travis has been playing golf, and teaching his wife a thing or two. He loves the game.’

Swift also took time to wrap up her bridal era, the source continued. 

‘She hand-wrote thank you cards to the wedding guests who gave her and Travis gifts,’ they said. ‘It was a sweet, old-fashioned gesture.’ 

The lovebirds only broke cover to attend the wedding of Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs teammate, JuJu Smith-Schuster, in Dana Point, California, on July 10. Their first public appearance as husband and wife interrupted their honeymooning, which the Daily Mail reported began at the exclusive Yellowstone Club in Big Sky, Montana.

Two days later, Kelce touched down in Palm Beach, Florida, and was seen returning to training for the NFL season – and his 14th – in Miami.

But now that Kelce has been at training camp at Missouri Western State University in St Joseph, Missouri, since July 29, the newlyweds are now turning the athlete’s $17 million Kansas City mansion into a marital home.

‘They don’t want it to feel like it’s Travis’s house that Taylor moved into,’ another source told the Daily Mail. ‘They want a place that’s theirs from day one.’ 

Unlike many celebrity couples juggling demanding careers on opposite coasts, the insider added that the newlyweds have little interest in maintaining separate lives during football season.

‘This is their fresh start. They’re not building Taylor’s life or Travis’s life anymore. They’re building one life – together,’ the source continued. ‘They’ve done the long-distance thing, and it was hard. Now they’re married, Taylor’s going to be where Travis is. That’s home.’ 

After all, Swift can write music and oversee her music empire from virtually anywhere.

‘She’s not tied to New York or LA,’ the source added. ‘They want to wake up together, have dinner together and build a real home – not just squeeze in visits between schedules.’ 

Swift has already made Kansas City into a home for herself, carving out a new roster of local favorites. Among them is 1587 Prime, the steakhouse that Kelce co-owns with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes – its menu even featuring a Swift-inspired cocktail named Alchemy – and Prime Social, the rooftop cocktail lounge where Kelce hosted their first post-game after-party together.

The singer has also been spotted at intimate dinners in the curtained private dining room of the Argentine restaurant Piropos, and she’s been said to have ordered Rye’s famous glazed pecan cinnamon rolls after dining there with other Chiefs players’ wives and girlfriends.

Still, the couple is said to be eyeing new property elsewhere. According to our first source, Swift and Kelce are perusing listings online, and ‘think Montecito might be a nice place to settle down.’ The coastal California town is already home to numerous celebrities, such as Oprah Winfrey or Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

‘They love how private it is and secluded,’ the source added.

A separate insider said the couple will keep Swift’s multi-million-dollar Tribeca home in New York City, but that Kelce wants to be near Hollywood so he can seek out acting and TV hosting opportunities after he retires from football.

‘Travis loves being on camera, he likes performing, so that is the goal, to work on screen,’ they added.

In the meantime, Kelce is returning for his 14th season with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The team will kick off their preseason with a game against the Los Angeles Rams at Arrowhead Stadium on August 15. After that, they will play against the Buccaneers on August 22 and the Seattle Seahawks on August 28. On September 14, they are set to host the Denver Broncos for their first regular season game.

But as Kelce gets back on the field, Swift too is getting back to work. 

‘Taylor has been creating new music, she said she is very inspired these days thanks to her husband, and is writing love songs for a new album and tour. She has been bouncing ideas off the Haim sisters,’ said our first source.

‘She also talked to her friend Carly Simon about making some music together. Taylor called Carly after she heard about her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis and told her she would support her and would love to work together. She also sent Carly flowers, a huge bouquet. It was very sweet.’ 

In the meantime, Swift is reveling in the small things that come with being Mrs Kelce. 

‘Swift said she loves calling Travis “my husband” or “my hubby,”‘ the source added.

‘She shared it is much better than saying “fiancée” or “boyfriend.” She was giddy when talking about it. She said she melts when Travis introduces her as “my wife.”‘
