The Block star Lisa Dunbar gives birth in the shower after just two hours in labour: ‘I’d had no signs’

The Block stars Lisa Dunbar and Rosco Wilson have become second-time parents in a most dramatic fashion.
The pair welcomed their son, Jude Ross, last week, after the tot was born in the shower after just a two-hour labour.
Lisa, 34, said the birth was ‘totally crazy’ after she headed in to bathe while in hospital waiting for the little one to make his appearance.
Jude was a week overdue, and Lisa had checked into the labour ward to undergo an induction.
‘I’d had no signs of labour so thought I’d be booked in for an induction two days later, but as I got out of the car, I noticed this slight, tightening cramp,’ the paramedic told New Idea.
Thinking she had plenty of time, Lisa popped into the shower, when she was hit by contractions and forced to give birth on the bathroom floor.

‘I was in shock and denial. I thought I still had time to get to the delivery suite – and get an epidural – but my midwife was like, “There’s no time! This baby is coming now!”‘ Lisa said.
Just two hours later, with the help of two midwives, Jude was in her arms.
Lisa’s FIFO-worker partner Rosco was 40 minutes away caring for their toddler at the time, and got the shock of his life when he arrived at the hospital.
‘I walked in, and Lisa was kneeling on the ground holding Jude to her chest. I couldn’t believe it,’ Rosco, 38, said.
The couple have already taken newborn Jude, who was born in Perth, to Melbourne, ahead of The Block auction this Sunday.
Lisa and Rosco have an older son, Lando, two.

The couple learned they were expecting early in filming on The Block, with Lisa discovering she was seven weeks along when cameras started rolling.
After initially thinking she had a stomach bug, Lisa instead had the happy news that she was about to welcome the couple’s second child.
The announcement was made to The Block host Scott Cam before anyone else found out.
Lisa said it was a ‘beautiful blessing’ to have a second baby on the way while starring on The Block.
‘There’s something special about being pregnant the first time,’ she told nine.com.au ahead of the birth.
‘But the second time, we get to experience it with Lando. Watching him understand he’s going to be a brother is also really special.’
