Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, inspected the site of the fire, which broke out at the western neighborhood transformer station in the tenth of Ramadan City, to determine the size of the damage and see the urgent measures to control the fire, and reduce its negative effects, especially after the electricity was cut off from several residential and industrial areas in the city. In the Eastern, it has received a report stating that a limited fire in the oil tank is used to cool one of the electric transformers inside the S1 transformer station, which led to the escalation of dense fumes and partial interruption of the current in the station, without registering any human injuries. Full control of the fire, and prevented its extension to the rest of the station. By the incident, the Public Prosecution that started the investigation was notified, and issued a decision to assign a specialized technical committee to conduct accurate examination, determine the reasons for the outbreak of the fire, and the extent of possible shortcomings or faults.
