The Minister of Health discusses the paths of specialized education and postgraduate studies for doctors

Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Health and Population, held a meeting with Dr. Ahmed Al -Gohary, the Minister of the Minister for continuous professional development, to discuss the means of facilitating the enrollment of doctors with specialized vocational education paths, and increasing the number of admitted people in the most needy specialized fields, at the Ministry’s General Court.

& nbsp; For doctors, which is an essential step in developing medical competencies, and raising the quality of health services provided to citizens, pointing out that the fellowship programs provide doctors with the opportunity of deep specialization, and provide them with knowledge and experience necessary to keep pace with scientific and technical developments in various medical fields. The means of facilitating the enrollment of doctors with specialized vocational education paths and increasing the numbers of admitted in the most needy specialized fields, and the need to overcome any obstacles that prevent doctors from obtaining specialized vocational training, within the framework of the Ministry’s vision to build trained and qualified medical cadres to meet the needs of the health system in various disciplines, where the minister stressed during the meeting the ministry’s keenness to improve the level of vocational medical education and provide clear training paths Approved, it ensures the rehabilitation of doctors in an integrated manner, to keep pace with global developments in the medical field, and enhance the efficiency of the government health sector.

& nbsp; The Minister directed during the meeting to prepare an integrated and detailed study aimed at analyzing and studying the actual and future needs of all medical specialties, to develop the specialized vocational training system, and ensure its effectiveness and response to the needs of the health sector in various parts of the Republic, stressing that this study is an essential step to draw a clear map of the required specializations in each governorate, and even in each health facility, due to the difference in the nature of services and health conditions And the population from one region to another, which requires an accurate and studied distribution of medical cadres according to actual priorities on the ground, and not according to uniform models.

& nbsp; The minister directed that the results of this study be linked to the paths of specialized training programs, so that the paths of this training are redesigned to be more flexible and effective, and to motivate doctors to choose specializations that suffer from a severe shortage, whether in general or accurate specializations, to enhance the efficiency of human resources distribution, ensure optimal benefit from the abilities of doctors, and achieve a balance between medical education outcomes and service needs, in a way that directly reflects on improving quality Health care provided to citizens throughout the Republic. Until the Deputy Prime Minister stressed during the meeting the importance of training doctors in accordance with the highest international standards, so that they can compete strongly in regional and international health markets, noting that Egyptian medical competencies have proven their worth in many countries, which requires the continued development of training programs, providing continuous medical education opportunities, and linking training to the needs of medical practices.
